UN Held Talks About Ethiopian Asylum Seekers In Norway

ABBY MINDA[MT] Finally, the international community gives concern for Ethiopian refugees in Norway. Human right defenders are still struggling against the repatriation agreement held on Jan 26,2012 between the dictatorial Meles regime and the Norwegian government.

On the 35th meeting 19th Session of the Human Rights Council. SAFED, General Debate – Item: 4, 35th Meeting Reports of the 19th Session African Association of Education for Development Ms Girma Chenet on her speech focused mostly on woman’s and children who are direct victims of human trafficking.

She also mentioned about the current situation in Ethiopia by presenting amnesty’s report about the abuse torture and inhuman handling of Ethiopians. She strongly asks the chairman by underlining on the point that ” Norway is carrying out an inhuman decision.” She also accused the Ethiopian government to be held responsible.
